Salle College Macroom
Athletics
The school has won several medals over the years at Cork, Munster and All- Ireland levels. We participate in both track events (running) and field events (long jump, high jump, javelin etc).

Recently, Ciaran O' Lionaird (below) has represented the school with terrific results. His events are the 800m and the 1500m, and he has won several Munster medals at these distances, as well as the All-Ireland Intermediate 1500m title in 2004. He subsequently won the Schools' Home International title in London.
Basketball
The school has had good success in the past in basketball, winning the 1991 Cork and Munster championships. One of our students, Alan O' Reilly, was selected on the Irish U-15 team, for whom he top-scored in their victories over England and Scotland.

Golf
The school has sent out many fine golf teams to compete in inter-schools golf competitions. We have had much success both in team and individual competitions.
